Wedding, Wedding, Wedding...

Just to preface this post:  This is our new blog as a married couple (mainly my new blog ha!)  I combined our last names, Emaus & Dhaliwal, to make emadhali pronounced E-Maddily!  I see this as a way to update friends and family on the ongoings of S-n-B's life.  Lots of Love.

Many of you have asked and finally I have followed through-- A vendor list!  I planned my wedding for almost a year and a half and researched many vendors in the South.  I have compiled a list of vendors I used/recommend as well as a notable list.  I must add that my dear family & friends really helped make my wedding amazing.  I do not know what I would have done without them!!

As most of you know I had a weekend full of functions:
Thursday-
Meet & Greet Fish Fry
Friday-
Mendhi & Churra
Ladies Sangeet
Saturday-
Wedding/Anand Karaj
Reception

My wedding vendor list:
Decor: Prashe Decor
-Expensive but she really produces an amazing final product!
Music: DJ Masai from Next Level
-He was amazing!  He brought a dhol player that was enthusiastic and fantastic.
Photography: Ragan Oswalt
-She had never done an Indian wedding before but you would never know that.  Ragan was easy to work with and determined to learn about the Indian culture so she could capture all the moments.  I've seen a few of the pictures and love what I've seen so far.
Videography: AnA
-Pricey but very professional and had great reviews.  They take about 4 months to produce the video but I am looking forward to the final product.
Event Coordinator: Jignasa
-She did an amazing job with the preparation.  On the day of the wedding/reception there was some confusion and some things were left undone.  Overall, I had a good experience but my advice is: Hire an event coordinator that is your culture/religion.
Hair & Makeup: Arlette Salon
-My bridal party and I got ready there for the reception.  They closed the salon for all of us and the hair & makeup was gorgeous on everyone.
Food: Catfish Cabin for the Meet & Greet
-Excellent food and service
Linda Peevey- Louisiana themed table for the Reception
-I heard her food was amazing and the presentation exceeded all expectations.
Ruchi's from Jackson for the Wedding & Reception
-His food was excellent but service and timeliness was mediocre
Drinks were supplied by Tiger Market- they have great prices and a wide selection!
Flowers: Martha from the Flower Shoppe
-Great to work with and she was super reasonable.  The flowers turned out beautifully!
Notable- Chris Allums- amazing florist
Cake: Thurman's
-The cake tasted great but I was disappointed in the way it decorated.
Tent- Taylor Rental
-The tent delivery and tear down was extremely hassle free!
Greenery decor (indoor & outdoor): Sonny Panzikos and Green Earth
-Green Earth spruced up the inside of the house and Sonny Panzikos did the outside.  Very easy to work with!

Venues:
Bayou Desiard Country Club
-Beautiful venue but there are so many rules/restrictions. Sometimes it is hard to get what you want (budget and decor wise).  Food was very good.
Monroe Civic Center
-Up until the day of the event they were very easy to work with.  Unfortunately on that day they were hard to get in touch with and our decor company had a difficult time working with them.  Overall, I had a decent experience with them considering the minimal cost of the hall.
